menu of classical dishes and constantly new ones changing with the
market and the season. The Onion soup is always a popular one, Snails
marinated with pernod wrapped in filo pastry and served with a blue
cheese sauce is definitively something out of the ordinary .Recently
the fresh blue swimmer crab meat cooked on order and served in a
crepe, gratinee with a light chive and cheese sauce was sublime.
Beautiful fresh tuna with vegetable cut julienne wrapped in spring
roll pastry, fried rare of course and served with a salsa verde
sauce, a brilliant combination with fragrant flavour to start a
meal. Tasmanian Salmon Tartarshimi and a salsa of mango and avocado.
Imported "Duck Fole Gras".

A choice of dishes well balanced to suit every ones tastes buds.
The red meat lover will be pleased to find the chef know to grilled
tender loin eye beef fillet or aged scotchfillet with a choice
of sauces. The popular classical French Boeuf Bourguignon Casserole
cooked in red wine, mashed potatoe and baby vegetables. Moroccan
influence, grilled Chicken marinated with herbs chermoula, home
made hummus dip, parsley yoghurt. Confit de canard aux cerises:
Two sturdy duck legs cooked as a confit with crispy skin, pinot
noir sauce. Well served grilled herb crusted rack of Iamb, port
wine sauce, and French flageolet bean and roasted garlic. The
fish of the day was a lovely barramundi fillet served with a fennel,
confit lemon and fresh herbs salad on a grilled aubergine, and
a butter tomato sauce. A dish suited perfectly to our region and
our climate. Each mains course is served with French fries, and
vegetables.

From a list of desserts that will make you seriously think of
working backwards on the next visit, real creme brulee crusty
caramelised top, crepe suzette grand marnier sauce, a gratin of
mango and strawberry and fresh berry grand marnier sabayon gently
top baked, chocolate praline roulade with summer berry coulis
sauce. Classic French sweet things here, each one a winner.

The
carte des vins is the work of a wine enthusiast, who has a great
appreciation for wine making sure that they are served at the
perfect temperature from his controlled wine cellar. Every bottle
is interesting, some rarely seen in Queensland, and prices are
reasonable. a generous imported selection of French wine with
very reasonable price range. A choice of wines served by the glass
for those who require it.
